At Amite Christian School and Childcare we believe that every child is a gift from God. Because we see each child as a gift from God it is our desire to be the very best stewards we can be of each and every child enrolled in our school/childcare facility. It is our desire to provide a safe, friendly, loving environment for our children but most important we provide a "Christian Environment" for our children. It is no secret that children learn best in an environment where they feel loved and secure. It is very important to us that we provide this type of environment for our "family of children".

We believe that childhood is a God-ordained part of life with value and significance. Too often people see children as people that are in a state of transition and one day when they grow up they will have purpose and meaning. We see childhood as a marked and definable stage of development that needs much care, patience, instruction and love. We often see ourselves as the "teacher" but if we are wise we will see that children are GREAT teachers and we can learn a lot from them.

It is our goal to "enrich" the life of each and every child that comes through our doors but I have to admit that I feel we are the ones whose lives are
"enriched" by our children!
